This week we are exploring 3D shapes- cube, cylinder, cone, sphere, cuboid in our class. Please can you help your child to indentify these shapes at home and in the environment. We will be sorting these shapes and use vocabulary to describe their properties ie- do they roll, how many sides do they have.
Homework- please can you help your child to create a junk model using 3D shapes- cones, cuboids-cereal, shoe boxes, cylinders- kitchen rolls, Pringle tubes, spheres- unwanted ping pong balls etc, cubes. Please make sure that the model is labelled with your child's name and returned to school on Thursday 19th November.
